Join Team First Parish Westwood at the 14th Annual Interfaith Walk for Hunger

Every year, for over a decade and since its inception, the First Parish of Westwood congregation has supported the Interfaith Mini Walk for Hunger that has been organized by Temple Beth David. Years ago, the temple reached out to members of our church to provide participation that would make the walk a truly interfaith event.

The annual Interfaith Mini Walk for Hunger shines a light on the invisible problem of food insecurity. When someone experiences hunger, other people don't necessarily know. Participating in the walk is a way to visibly demonstrate that we at First Parish are aware of the problem in our community, and that we are committed to putting action behind belief by raising money to benefit neighbors in need.

All proceeds raised in support of the walkers are directed to Project Bread, which advocates for the elimination of food insecurity in Massachusetts. Please join our church and our local faith community in the effort to show the food insecure that they are not alone.

Stay tuned to this space for a way to sign up. We need walkers, event volunteers, and the financial support of donors!
